Boxing is a sport that requires a good deal of speed, as well as technique, but if you break down the sport of boxing and the sport of grappling, you will realize the grappler can spar harder and fight longer into his career than the striker/boxer.? It's just easier on his body, and doesn't require as much athleticism, plain and simple. I'm not saying boxing isn't technical, it's a science in it's own.
