Simply turning in the opposite direction, or stopping, when the dog goes out of the? heel correction is enough. Actually, if a dog goes out of the position regularly, it means the command hasn't been taught or proofed well enough, and you should shorten the length of times between rewards, and lower the criteria slightly.
