My second try -- a year later! I am aware that the form is not as great but my ultimate goal was to do 100 without doing downward dog/knee break like my first one and I managed to accomplish that. I of course will continue to work on my form. Once again, thanks for watching.

thanl you and thanks for the help. my dogs surgeon only worked 830 - 100.... hes semi retired too? lol! 1800 for the surgery, xrays pain killers almost 400$ a few pre surgery visits 450$ plus tax ::(
By: dvdfrnzwbr. on 02 Feb 12, 00:45:31
I'm glad she is out and doing well. I remember that they sent me home with a bunch of drugs to. I was lucky that my vet had a retired in house surgeon that came in, if he could fit it in between golf trips. lol He was not board certified but continued his knowledge for new techniques thru seminares and conventions. I got it for $1200, plus $300 in preop, and? I thought it was expensive. Better days are comming around the corner for your dog.

yea, i got her home and she is sleeping, at the vet she was making her escape when we arrived.... seriously lol ... my goodness, 2 pain killers an anti inflammatory and joint lubrication food.... whats even worse is? the pain of the vet bending me over...... 600$ for every 30 mins of surgery..... almost 3G's.....

CYA -? Cover (their) your own arse. 4-6 months of recommended limited activity I think is close to impossible.
By: SleeCee. on 01 Feb 12, 08:36:20
CYA-ing it? ? i dont understand.please clarify yeaa.... my mutt is going to be moved into the smallest room in the house. to try and limit her mobility and speed for a week or so... see how she handles it.- should be fine as long as her beds anywhere she will sleep on it. and the hardest thing will be when i get home from being out for a few hours, she jumped and leaned up for a hug! but no more.... :(

It's good that she has long hair to cover the scare. Mine has short hair and the scare never will go away. Mine had no noticable swelling. The only thing that happened was after the stitches were removed he developed liquid in the knee that had to be drained, but only once. The surgeon was concerned about the liquid and drilled me about keeping him from running and jumping. Impossible to keep them completely imobile or confined. I? think the surgeons are CYA-ing it.
By: SleeCee. on 01 Feb 12, 03:19:09
mines 35-40 kilo, shes? overweight but its hard to tell cause pf the hair.... lol = diet! wouldnt the knee ligaments and everything be extremly swollen for a year or so ? and even with surg' nothing can be made "as good as new " ?
By: dvdfrnzwbr. on 31 Jan 12, 09:13:45
I think the pain medication and antibiotics that they send you home with keeps them drousey. When meeting the surgeon prior to surgery I asked if it was going to be TPLO or the other and he said that he used a technique that included both. I asked him if it would be strong enough for my 65 lb dog and he replied that he used it on a Rottweiler? the previous week. He definatley did something because the repaired knee feels larger than the normal one.

i spoke to the vet about some puppy ritalin(for a few days) just to give her body a chance to heal a bit, she is one speed-? hers, which is lightspeed i have a pretty big backyard with a deck and and 3 flights of stairs, im making her go out the front, smaller yard less stairs etc did you get the metal plate surgery ? or the sutre ?
By: dvdfrnzwbr. on 31 Jan 12, 03:49:49
When my dog came out of surgery he was out of it for 24- 36 hours. I kept him comfortable and gave him water with a turkey baster. He passed on food. Once they feel the new support they want to run around like the wind, but you must resist letting them until muscle tissue can regenerate around the? straps and thru out the leg. Slow short backyard walks until you notice the leg bulking back with muscle. I was so happy when my Bulldog got his left to right waddle back. lol

she goes in for surgery tues? morning, and thanks :D

My Bulldog had a torn ACL and I was looking at all options for him. I got him the surgery and he bounced back very quickly and has been doing very well ever since. I would get the surgery if you can afford it, but braces would be better than nothing.?
By: SleeCee. on 27 Jan 12, 08:30:02
have you ever had surgery ? ?

By: youjohnny16. on 10 Jan 11, 05:42:21

By: mastiffmamaof2. on 04 Jul 10, 17:41:18
I signed up to respond to comments here. The video was made and posted by the gentleman who made the braces so if you want to know where? to find these, you should check the website for AnimalOrthocare. Braces are an option especially if the ACL tear is a partial tear. I feared Savannah would not get up again if she had surgery so I went with the braces. She later had successful stem cell therapy, but still wears the braces and is getting physical therapy. Hope this information is helpful.

Please where could i find? that? Thanks
By: dvdfrnzwbr. on 02 Oct 09, 08:20:04
Is this an option to wear? braces? Why not surgery?
