Its some work in it? at first. mine didnt really start to look legit until about 4-6 days in from rubbing and working at it. so hard work at first then it pays off later. I have so many other things to be concerned with. My hair will do what it does with a little help from me. I discovered the greatness of aloe vera gel last nite. It def helps as an accelerator, that lemon juice, honey, and sea salt water. Focus on? getting the locs themselves tight b4 you do a whole lot of washing and you will see results. I have a video addressing two main reasons why the rub method doesnt work fo some people. 1) You were rubbing with your fingers and not your palms. You should always rub with only your palm-area not? the finger area at all. 2) You were looking at the mirror while you wee rubbing. For me that always gurantees a fail. I feel your pain, I def can relate. I've never tried this method. Strictly blowdryer which you can do on a low setting, to avoid heat damage. While it's at this length maybe you can? chill on the washing a bit. You're right about youth, we had more patience before. I went 3 months without washing before, now I just can't lol. The stocking cap method works with washing to avoid washing it out. It doesn't get to your scalp much but hey...you gotta sacrifice. Maybe try an air dry too. @datdudedave08 ... By: datdudedave08. on 07 Dec 11, 02:55:24 you did a few things which were not necessarily wrong but at least very unnecessary in my opinion, I used the towel rub method and trust me it should definitely work for you here is what you need, please don't give up:? 1- use a much smaller towel (facial towel, preferable a darker color towel) 2- don't damp it whatsoever 3- rub twice a day (once in the morning, and once at night) 4- don't worry about losing some hair while rubbing (but don't rub too hard tho) (2nd cont) also. ... Then u can part the twist in half... hold down 1/2 rub. then do the same for the other until there seperate and not connecting. after 2-4 days of getting them formed. You can shampoo (i use black soap) and rub them in the direction you normally do. When you start out. don't put any oils in your hair atleast for a week or 2. if you do... your hair will be slick and it will not hold together while your rubbing it.
