I have found that my dog gets so high into drive with a prey item that I don't get his level of? focus with a ball reward and I needed to use food reward instead. How did you teach so many steps walking instead of dog jumping up in your face to get the ball (prey item) ?

As a clicker trainer myself, I get a lot of people? claiming it's only good for tricks and not "Real" training like this...which I disagree with obviously. Either way, it's great to see a schutzhund trainer who uses the clicker training.

By: FaunadaelPetRescue. on 01 Mar 11, 16:23:21 I am guessing that he is clicking? when the dog finds a treat on the track as it appears the dog pauses to eat something (but doesn't eat every treat it passes by). A jackpot (handful of treats) when the dog finds the articles (although the handler is telling the dog to down instead of shaping that behaviour). The longline is between the dog's legs to help keep the dog's head down instead of inadvertently pulling it up or to the side.

What a beautiful job! I must say I am really impressed with your obedience. I rarely see this joy and precision in? ipo or/and schutzhund training but this was just darn pretty. As a new beginner in IPO it is inspiring to see your videos. I really wish my germans shepherd and I gets half as tight and connected as you and your dogs.
