My dog and cat play constantly... Usually my cat will instigate it and then Kirby joins in. My dog is very gentile with her and never fully bites her. I keep an eye on them just in case but it has never been a problem. I am more worried for my dog than my cat. :)
I was outside cleaning off my back porch and I saw this HUGE snake. It went into a hole so I called pest control. The guy came out and dug this huge bull snake out of my yard!!!! EWWW!!!!!

The one kid is 14 so she has her mind set that she is deathly afraid of snakes. We got her to pet it but she still hates them. The military base pest control relocated the snake to another area of the base where they had too many rodents. So it was a win win situation.?

Instead of teaching your kids to be afraid of snakes, you could have educated them on how good snakes can be. I live in the mojave desert and people try to keep? as many gopher snakes as they can on their property because they not only keep the rodent population down they keep poisonous snakes off the property.

We were at Bottomless Lakes NF in New Mexico near Roswell. We had so much fun! We went swimming and it actually was really warm there. My friends had a toy poodle that would dive in water and totally schooled Kirby in swimming. It was funny.
I went to Colorado near Salida and got to go to a little mining town. It was really neat and they had this place where you can feed the squirrels and chipmunks. It was a blast!

We went to see the fireworks in Roswell. It was going along great when all of the sudden it started down-pouring! Everyone decided to try to leave which only created a huge traffic jam. We decided to wait it out until everyone left. Fireworks show was awesome though.
