You will always have loose hair directly growing from your scalp...? as for the hair that is twisted over time as it grows out.. it really depends on your hair type and how you treat your hair so that is a hard one to gauge... Also, I have not retwisted my locs in ages... I changed over to mostly latching at month 8 and have been semi free forming on and off for a while... My roots only look twisted because of the two strand twists.... I curled my locs on ...
