The puppies are now 5 weeks old! They are growing fast. it seems as if they grew double the size in 1 night! They are eating puppy food along with mama's milk. I have included photos of each of them in this video. :)

I think 3-6 is average, but it's strange that some will only have 2 and others might have seven. My friend's Bichon? had 9 wow!

Usually for a pet store to sell puppies, they have to get them really cheap in order to make a profit, so they don't get them from quality breeders. If you want a good quality dog then you should look for a breeder who's home you can visit and see for yourself that they do health tests on the parents and have OFA and CERF certifications. It's really important!

I have also heard good things about Wellness Core, Taste of the Wild, and Innova Evo, but I've never tried them. It is also good to add a little bit of meat or canned food to kibble (if you're feeding kibble). It's not very natural for animals to eat cereal type food for the rest of their lives, so there will be problems like boredom with food and stuff. A good kibble is not purina,iams,pedigree,science diet, or royal canin, those are all really? bad foods with poor quality ingredients and ingredients that aren't really good for dogs at all. (Like corn, wheat, soy and bad cancer-causing chemicals like BHT and BHA.) Stay away from all of those. A really good one is Orijen, but some dogs find it too rich, so you could try Acana grain-free which is made by the same company and also has excellent human-grade ingredients.

If everything is okay, you may want to change her food. Sometimes dogs eat? poop just because it's gross,lol, and dogs do gross things sometimes, but other times, dogs will eat poop because they are lacking some vitmains and/or minerals. If you feed kibble, feed a human-grade one. Grain-free ones are good especially if your dog has allergies but make sure it's a good one.

Aww he was so happy he got a ball at the park. It's a park beside the lake and he loves it there. But we were just walking.. no ball.. and then he saw a lady with her kids and she had a ball. They were going home and he kept jumping for the ball she was holdiing, so she gave it to him. It's just a tennis ball but he was so happy!
I don't know why... but I've noticed a lot of dogs are scared of vacuums... maybe it's the loud noise. I guess so Mine is a little scared but kind of thinks it's fun too.

I am not that good at grooming yet, when I get good at it, I will do a video! Sometimes I use Baby Shampoo with Conditioner, the 2-in-1 kind. It gets my dogs very white and soft. The regular kind makes it dry, but if you get the one with conditioner built? in it's great. For more whitening, I've used Chris Christensen's White on White and the After Bath. They are great!

But I look at photos of Bichons who are show dogs and follow that cut, but only in shorter version. Not the old show pics, but the newer ones. Look up Drummerboy Eukanuba and you can see the type of hair cut that makes the head round :)
