But the homeschool? community down here in GA is better than in IL despite the laws being more restrictive. But here all we are required to do is turn in a Declartion of Intent letter before Sept 1 every year and turn in an attendance form once a month till you hit 180 days. They want you to do a progress report each year and standarize test of your choice every 3 years and but you dont turn that in. You are? just suppose to have it on file. Its a really easy state. When I sent them to school, they dusted the other students. ? I hated that I had to send them to public school but I couldn't afford being home anymore. My children loved it! We were interactive with all kinds of awesome books, musical instruments, science equipment, mathematics, historical books which allowed them to thoroughly understand as well as daily typing and computer assignments, etc., etc. Best wishes on your homeschooling journey!! =D You rock.   You like it?
